Enhanced VolunteerOUR MISSION
Founded in 1980 by a group of active Town of Brookline citizens (half of whom also worked at Town Hall), the mission of the Brookline Improvement Coalition was to develop more affordable housing for the people who live in the Town of Brookline. In recent years, BIC undertook a robust asset management program to revitalize its properties and to allow it to offer additional services to the community in conjunction with affordable housing resources. Thus, with new staff and a reimagined mission, BIC changed its name to the Brookline Community Development Corporation (BCDC)-a name which better reflects our mission and aligns with other community development corporations.
