Become Champions and to advocate for the legal rights of Deaf Children. To inspire the Deaf to become advocates not only for themselves but for others like them. To achieve development milestones.
Goal is to help Deaf children and adults to overcome any communication barrier. To enhance their self-esteem and allow them to dream and achieve.
Worry, sadness, fear, helplessness, anger, confusion and disappointment leading to more worry, all these are issues where comprehension in a hearing world set upon to a Deaf child or adult.
Raising a child with special needs or assisting them and Deaf adults “up the ante”. Meeting the complex needs of comprehension in today’s world can be extraordinarily difficult without the added emotion of not hearing the environment you live in. Leading to the question- Do the Deaf have a real opportunity to lead a fulfilling independent, and productive life?
To help Deaf children and adults in Stark, Tuscarawas and Carroll Counties find their voice.
