WorldCOMP Kenya Relief International was born out of tragedy. In the year 2002, due to post election violence in the Nairobi slums, thousands of people were killed leaving hundreds of children as orphans. To meet the challenge of hundreds of children without food or shelter, Pastor Richard Vicknair and his wife, Valerie, teamed up with Osborn Obayo, a Kenyan psychologist and social worker, to start a feeding program in the Kibera, Slums. Never in our wildest dreams did we foresee how WorldCOMP would grow and expand to what it is today.
