Abilene Habitat for Humanity

Abilene Habitat for Humanity builds affordable homes, relying on community donations and volunteer support. Selected families are required to perform “sweat equity” as part of their commitment. They purchase Habitat houses at-cost with a 0% interest mortgage for 20 – 25 years. This saves our homeowners tens of thousands of dollars over the duration of their mortgage. With their monthly mortgage payments our homeowners are “paying it forward” to our future homeowners, as their principal payments help us build additional Habitat houses in Abilene.
