OUR MISSION

ARCS Foundation Seattle is part of a national, non-profit, volunteer, women’s organization that supports the advancement of science and technology in the United States by providing financial awards to academically outstanding US citizens studying to complete degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The Seattle Chapter ARCS Foundation was founded in 1978, and to date has supported over 1,500 fellows with awards totaling more than $22.1 million.

In strategic partnership with the University of Washington and Washington State University, ARCS Foundation Seattle funds PHD students in the STEM disciplines, this year providing approximately $1 million dollars to support 180 fellows. Currently, 62 ARCS Fellowships are supported in perpetuity by named endowments with over $16 million in assets.
