OUR MISSION

In the early 1990s, two families joined together on a mission to support those who may not otherwise have the opportunity to interact with nature. They sought to provide the experience of the healing power of fresh air, interaction with animals, growing vegetation, and nature for everyone-including those who may be differently-abled. A fifty-acre site was opened to the public in the form of a non-profit named after the hamlet of Amber in which it was located: Amberations.

Over time, Amberations has grown and continued to evolve with the changing needs of the community. There are now a number of animals, hiking trails, a sand pile and toys for creative expression, spaces for dogs to run free, an inviting and accessible creek, and a pond brimming with frogs. Amberations is here for anyone, open to the public 365 days a year.
