OUR MISSION

Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha was founded in 1992 for the main purpose of offering sports leagues and educational programs and activities for the youth of the Wilson Heights Neighborhood in Kenosha. The original budget was approximately $150,000 and the Club served 198 members. After the mergers with the Lincoln Neighborhood Center in 2000 and the Christian Youth Council in 2001, along with 8 after school sites, the Club grew to serve over 5,000 members. In 2008, the Club kicked off a capital/endowment campaign to build a new community center. On June 27, 2011, the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha opened a brand new 80,000 square foot community center featuring a youth center, teen center, indoor soccer field, 4-court basketball field house, commercial kitchen, offices for community partners and offices to have all BGC administration and staff under one roof. The Club celebrated it’s 25th Anniversary in 2017 while serving over 12,000 youth annually with an operating budget of 3 million dollars. The Club took over operations of Scamps Gymnastics & CYC Legendary All-Star Cheer in January of 2021, further increasing membership, growth and overall impact in our community.
