OUR MISSION

Caring Family Community Services was started in June of 2003 by Roseann Porcelli, a foster/adoptive parent who worked with children with behavioral and special needs. Roseann and her husband, Tony, devoted a lot of time making sure that the children in their care received all the services needed to make them feel at home.
As New Jersey’s Children’s Initiative (later known as the Division of Child Behavioral Health) began in Monmouth County, Roseann was provided seed money by MonmouthCares to start a mentoring/behavioral assistance organization to provide service to the CMO children and families. In less than a year Caring Family Community Services grew to the point of providing services for 50 families in Monmouth County. At that time, Caring Family Community Services was a desk in the Porcelli kitchen, where the organization was coordinated with the help of Roseann’s sons and friends.
