The Center for Black, Brown, and Q**** Studies (BBQ+) activates, connects, and mobilizes educators, researchers, and activists from marginalized communities.
Our mission is to dismantle the structural barriers that prevent the full participation and leadership of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, as well as members of the LGBTQ+ community, in spaces of learning and education.
We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization and a fully virtual independent center built on solidarity and generosity. We strive to create an alternative space that addresses inequities by raising historical and cultural awareness around issues of race, gender, sexuality, socioeconomic status, citizenship status, and colonialism.
