Choctaw Area Council Boy Scouts of America

The Choctaw Area Council is a great little council in the heart of East Mississippi and West Alabama. Our impact on the youth around us, however, is no less than a larger council. As an arm of the Boy Scouts of America, our vision statement is “To prepare every eligible youth in America to become a responsible, participating citizen and leader who is guided by the Scout Oath and the Scout Law.” The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is “To prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.”
