The Colorado Longitudinal Study (COLS) has a bold vision to create a repository of biological specimens and comprehensive health data for hundreds of thousands of people that will help researchers uncover the true determinants of health.
To do this, COLS will build the most comprehensive large-scale longitudinal biobank in the world. It will collect biological specimens and personal data from participants annually. Researchers from around the world will be able to use this resource to understand who develops disease, factors that predict or lead to disease and ill health, and better ways to prevent and treat disease.
