The beautiful 88-acre CrossPointe Campus has a history of redemption, restoration and renewal. In 1956 the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel made the decision to establish an additional Bible college east of the Mississippi River for the purpose of training men and women for ministry. In September 1957, classes began in at the Mt. Vernon Bible College in Ohio. In 1987 the Board of Regents made a decision to relocate the campus due to difficulties of students securing employment opportunities, declining enrollment and rising costs of maintaining the aging buildings and grounds. The search began for an ideal site to relocate the school.
