OUR MISSION

Historical fears of violent oppression, resentment because of discrimination and an economic shift from muscle to technology added to the fury of the hot summer of 1967. The exact chemistry is still hard to discern. Yet one impression seems understandable. The 1967 Rebellion had to happen for the hope of the grassroots to be unleashed. The flame of ’67 still burns for peace, social, political and economic empowerment. The Hope District is a manifestation of that flame.
