Kids & Art Foundation

The Kids & Art Foundation was founded in 2008 by Purvi Shah, a parent whose son Amaey was diagnosed with cancer at age three and then lost his life six years later. Purvi’s inspiration came after seeing the healing impact moments of art and creativity had on her family while her son was in cancer treatment.

Since, Kids & Art programs have grown from one destination workshop for 15 pediatric cancer patients in 2008 to now offering art programs for countless children and families across the country. These engaging art experiences provide children in treatment a unique opportunity to step away from their limitations and therapies to enjoy the freedom and benefits of creative escape and self-expression.
