Milwaukee is in the midst of an affordable housing crisis where one in three renters are spending half or more of their income on housing. Families spending more than half of their income on housing are: 23% more likely to have difficulty purchasing food, 28% more likely to be without health insurance, and almost twice as likely to lack a car.
