Limited VolunteerThank you for your interest in the Ohio Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture (OCISA). The Ohio Chapter is the successor of the Ohio Chapter of the National Shade Tree Conference organized in 1942 and then the Ohio Chapter of the International Shade Tree Conference in 1961. In 1975, the Chapter became the Ohio Chapter International Society of Arboriculture. The Chapter is established in the state of Ohio as a 501(c)3 charitable organization. In early 2023, the Chapter’s Board of Directors redefined the Chapters mission and vision statements:
Mission Statement ~ To advance the practice of responsible tree care while promoting the benefits of trees.
Vision Statement ~ Thriving trees and urban forests that enhance the quality of life for all Ohioans.
