Tallatoona CAP (Community Action Partnership), a private nonprofit 501c3 entity, was established in 1967 to combat poverty in northwest Georgia. The agency was formed in 1967 as part of the Equal Opportunity Act of 1964, which authorized the creation of Community Action agencies-currently 1000+ across the country.
