In 2019 Thrive For Life opened the Ignacio House of Studies in the New York, the first transitional supportive learning community in the country, for formerly incarcerated people who are continuing the good work of college education that they began during their incarceration.
Currently, Ignacio House serves up to 15 formerly incarcerated men who are on scholarship at one of eight partnering universities-NYU, Manhattan College, Columbia U., Cornell U., Mercy College, the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, St. Francis College, and City U. of NY. Our resident scholars have access to a suite of holistic services for positive re-entry experiences.
