Limited VolunteerOUR MISSION
United Way uses a multi-tiered, vetting process that relies on community volunteers to make recommendations and funding decisions. Interested grant applicants submit a letter of intention with a brief request for funding out of UWWCM current grant pool. These letters are reviewed by a Community Investment Committee (containing area volunteers along with the Executive Director) to choose which applicants will be invited to complete a full application and receive an on-site visit, thus moving to the next tier.
