YWCA Brooklyn is a non-sectarian, grassroots organization dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.
We are a long-standing pillar in the Brooklyn community and have been for over 130 years. We remain a vital asset through our unique work and are consistently present at the forefront of struggles for social justice and gender equality. As our work continues to advance the lives of low-income women and girls of color, YWCA Brooklyn offers a safe haven for survivors of gender-based violence, an opportunity for teens and immigrant women to enhance their lives, and a hub for advocacy and community action. We work daily to level the playing field for all Brooklynites while truly empowering women and girls.
